Healthy, white, younger looking skin.

Many of us Filipinos are so conscious on how we can achieve a healthy, white, younger looking skin.  Some rely on the beauty products which are too expensive that in reality, not all of us can afford to spend for it. We are aiming to have glowing skin like our television stars appearing on tv screens like nothing change on their appearance despite of their hectic schedules. In contrast to us, who are ordinary people and we also experience what they are going through without knowing it to ourselves. They also sleep late, doesn't eat the right food, not all of them do exercise. Actually, it is effortless for them to achieve and maintain a healthy, white, younger looking skin.

On this blog, I wanted to share some secrets how I maintain my skin to be healthy regardless of my age which you will notice that there is a big difference between my young fellows as they look more pruned than mine as we both have same lifestyle.

Here are my daily routine which may be helpful to you:

  • In the morning when you wake up, wash your face with tap water and use a mild soap. Added to that, it is also effective if you use water coming from " NAWASA " rather that the water from the pump because it has dirt and rust that could leave into your skin. During bath, use mild soap as well like milk soap or moisturizing soap.

  • When you are going outside and you will be exposed to sunlight, apply a small amount of sunblock on your forehead, tip of the nose, cheeks in a circular motion. Also avoid wearing clothes that exposes the majority part of your skin, the best sunblock ever is your clothes.

People in our place never stop wondering how I tolerate the heat from seeing me too much covered as I wear my hijab ( because I am a Muslim woman ), sleeves, pants, and rubber shoes with matching umbrella to make sure that the heat of the sun won't hit my skin. But never forget to always hydrate yourself by drinking plenty of water to avoid heat stroke, as many people are unaware that over covering your body doesn't cause heat stroke.

  • Always look for the high in spf sunblocks which is cheaper than usual brand like Banana Boat that is available in all supermarkets and drugstores nationwide, it is available in 50 SPF and 80 SPF. The other brand I use is Nivea that has 30 SPF. Reminder: Never use ordinary or whitening lotions during exposure to sunlight. Wear you foundation that has SPF to give double protection on your face.

  • During bath, never scrub your skin too harsh, it'll cause your skin to produce more melanin. You can use a wet face towel or the " patola sponge "

  • Before bedtime, have your bath or shower to cleanse your skin using whitening soaps ( kojic acid, placenta, papaya, calamansi, or carrot soap ) if you aim to have fairer skin color, and that is the right time to use your whitening lotions as well, another info is that the lights from our house/room also attributes darkening of our skin, as I've learned from my Clinical Instructors during my hospital ojt.
  • Eat fruits that are rich in vitamins or take vitamins alone, there is no time pattern for this matter but it is always better to take vitamins in the morning. The most common and effective vitamins that you can easily buy which is also cheap are vitamins C, and E. Some other people take glutathione because it is the most dominant and high in anti-oxidant but beware of the fake products that scatter in the market. Aside from that, glutathione is quite expensive compared to the two anti-oxidant first mentioned which you can avail the vitamin C for 117.00 per bottle/100 tablets and the vitamin E for 12.oo each compared to the glutathione that cost 45.00 - 90.00 each capsule which should be taken twice daily. And surely make your pockets cry :'(

I hope that this informations can help you achieve your dreams to have a healthy, white, younger looking skin!
